We aim to offer as wide a range of learning experiences as possible and our after school clubs form an important part of our provision. We run a range of after school clubs and enrichment activities throughout the week. Take a look at the timetables and pictures below:
Year 4, 5 and 6
Year 1 – Year 6
My child enjoys all of the clubs she has been attending. I like the selection of clubs and I believe the clubs are beneficial to their education. My daughter would like more outdoor activities as well.
My son really enjoys the after school clubs. Mixing with children outside his class and year, having fun and laughing. He would go to one every day if he could, especially anything to do with sport.
I like it for my son, physical activity and healthy eating should be part of school life.
Mr Wright, our sports coach from Kick London, leads the afterschool football club. This is a very popular club which is often over-subscribed and all children in KS2 are keen to take part in.
I think the after school club has played a very important part in my child’s life, very educational and also keeps him active.
Maths Boosters are designed for Year 6 children to help prepare them for their SATs tests. These booster sessions primarily focus on key mathematical skills and concepts to encourage the children to achieve their potential.
Judo Club is run by an external provider New Cross Martial Arts with Sensei Neil Bartholomew teaching the children a variety of Judo techniques including physical prowess, discipline and self-control. This club is enjoyed by all who attend and often provides students with opportunities to compete against children in other schools and Judo clubs. Children are encouraged to wear a Judo kit when attending the club and have opportunities to be graded as they develop their Judo skills through New Cross Martial Arts.
Gospel Choir is led by our singing teacher Mr Francis who teaches children singing and breathing techniques to help strengthen and control their voices when performing. This club also allows children to develop their confidence as the Gospel Choir are invited to perform to their peers at school and at church services and local events.
Transformers Club is held once a week after school. Ms Everett from All Saints Church comes into school and holds a Bible study group for children. In the club the children read Bible stories and discuss modern day events and how Bible stories are relevant to our modern day lives.
