We had a fantastic time at our very own street party style lunch on Thursday as part of our work on British Values. To celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, we enjoyed sandwiches, salads and mini quiches. This was followed by strawberries, scones and mini Victoria sponges. Much flag waving took place throughout our lunch.
We think that International Evening was amazing!!! The Samba Band started the evening and performed some great beats and music. We really enjoyed all the performances. Year three’s dance was so funky when they were wiggling their plates up and down.
The song Love Shine a Light was good because it brought the whole school together at the end.
We think the food was very nice, especially the pancakes and spring rolls with sweet chili sauce.
We hope you had a fun time and enjoyed our performances (Zoey B and Eva-Marie, Pink Class).
We also raised £50 for our Uganda project. Thank you for your continued support.
We had a fantastic time with the author, Anne Fine this week. She led workshops with children from Year 1 to Year 6 and shared stories about the books she has written. She then did some book signing at the end of the day.
To mark the end of Book Week, children were encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character. We had some great costumes!
