Jigsaw PSHE

Year 4 lead Collective Worship this week and launched our new Jigsaw PSHE theme ‘Celebrating Difference.’ Jigsaw PSHE perfectly connects the pieces of Personal, Social and Health Education, emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development into an easy to use lesson-a-week programme.

Designed as a whole-school approach, Jigsaw provides a detailed and comprehensive scheme of learning for ages 3-16.  Jigsaw makes teachers’ lives easier by providing extremely well-structured, progressive lesson plans with teaching resources included.

Jigsaw is a unique, spiral, progressive and effective scheme of work, aiming to prepare children for life, helping them really know and value who they truly are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.

Operation Christmas Child

As part of our Love Project for this term, the children have been filling shoe boxes with much needed items that we simply take for granted, such as soaps, tooth paste etc, plus toys and useful items to send to the needy on behalf of “Operation Christmas Child”.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to show God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Since 1990, more than 168 million children in over 160 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child.

Here are a few pictures of our children preparing their shoes boxes.
